Job Responsibilities

They are looking for a Tours and Travel Intern who will:

  • Assist in creating, reviewing, and updating safari and holiday itineraries for clients.
  • Research destinations, lodges, and activities based on client preferences.
  • Ensure itineraries are accurate, detailed, and meet company standards.
  • Respond to client inquiries through email, phone, and social media.
  • Provide professional customer service before, during, and after trips.
  • Send booking confirmations, payment instructions, and follow-up messages.
  • Assist in booking accommodations, park entries, activities, and transport arrangements.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, lodges, and drivers/guides to confirm bookings.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate booking records in the system.
  • Support marketing efforts by preparing social media content, blog posts, and promotional materials.
  • Participate in campaigns, exhibitions, and tourism fairs where required.
  • Assist in operations to ensure smooth departures, transfers, and safari schedules.
  • Prepare travel documents, permits, and welcome packs.
  • Accompany clients on select tours when necessary to support guides and ensure quality service.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management, Travel & Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and basic online research.
  • Skills in social media management and content creation are an added advantage.
  • Passion for travel, wildlife, and providing excellent customer service.
  • Positive attitude, proactive mindset, and eagerness to learn.
  • Flexibility to work on weekends and public holidays if required.
  • Team player with professionalism and integrity.
